Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (“MODENAS”) a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, introduces a new extended warranty programme (“EW”), that encompasses the coverage of its selected models up to an additional of 2 years or 65,000KM (whichever comes first) for models sold and registered from 1 September 2022 onwards. Below is the list of Modenas motorcycles that are covered under the EW programme:

*Karisma 125S
*Elegan 250
*Pulsar NS200
*Dominar D400
*Pulsar RS200
The EW programme is an optional third-party functional warranty, that is being offered by MODENAS’ insurance partners, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (“Allianz General”) which serves as the EW programme provider and Allianz Partners Malaysia (“APM”), who will provide towing services. The EW programme covers sudden and unexpected motorcycle failure of selected factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components.
Some of the salient features offered under the MODENAS EW Programme includes:
24/hours, 365 days of Roadside Breakdown Assistance (“RBA”).
The RBA extends its towing services to the nearest MODENAS authorised service centre within 100km radius.

>Offer Better Resale value of Bike.
>Use of Genuine MODENAS Spares: 30,000+ parts that come with a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty
“If you want a more targeted protection than what MODENAS is currently offering, you may want to consider the EW programme where it offers multiple levels of coverage that has been tailored to your motorcyle’s needs. The EW programme protects both your motorcycle and wallet from costly repairs due to mechanical and electrical breakdown. In addition, your motorcycles are rest assured of the usage of genuine MODENAS parts”, said Roslan Roskan Chief Executive Officer of MODENAS.
With the rising demand for frequent maintenance and repair of motorcycles that can cost as much as one-fifth of the original purchase price, hence, to avoid unexpected financial costs, the Company is providing value-added options for our customers such as this EW programme. Over and above this, the motorcycle industry's growth is also aided by the transferability of extended warranties offered by manufacturers, which ensures that the product is covered even after it is passed to new owners, continued Roslan.
